Richard has been protecting the built environment for decades and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a qualified Materials Scientist, Richard started his career as a Research and Development Chemist in building chemicals before moving into International Sales.
His specialism in car park structures is reflected in his position as Vice Chair for the British Parking Association’s Parking Structure Group for the last 6 years. Here, Richard takes an active role in sharing information, knowledge and best practice on all things relating to the design, construction and maintenance of parking structures.
As well as presentations to BPA interest groups including Healthcare and Leisure, Richard co-wrote the BPA’s ‘Winter Maintenance in Car Parks’ guide, to deliver practical and handy advice on a number of options around de-icing and maintenance.
Richard also co-authored the BPA’s code of practice for the ‘Specification and Use of Liquid Applied Car Park Deck systems.’ As a specialist in this area for the last 16 years and National Sales Manager, Car Parks and Infrastructure, for Triflex, he is at the forefront of car park structural protection.
