Jill Hayden

Jill is a technical leader with twenty-five years of experience in intelligent transport systems, specialising in R&D, evaluation and strategy. She has published and presented over sixty papers and articles and advised government and private clients in the UK, EU and US.

She is a recognised expert in connected and automated mobility and has supported National Highways, DfT and others with CAM research and strategy development. Jill is also a national expert in strategic road operational technology, particularly smart motorways and ramp metering.

Jill led connected vehicle data and open data research for DfT and is currently advising National Highways on various potential impacts/uses of connected vehicle data for operational technology.
