Laura Alexander-Webber
As Lane Rental Manager at Transport for London (TfL), I help promoters to get creative in thinking about how they can undertake works on the Lane Rental Network to keep London moving and reduce their exposure to the associated charges, as well as supporting the brilliant projects that arise from the surplus.
Having been in local government for 20 years, my experience ranges from Customer Services to Business Consultancy, through to Environmental Services and Street Works. My qualifications are equally diverse, with an Institute of Customer Service Bronze Award, two diplomas in Chartered Management and one in Software Development.
I joined the sector in 2008 as Network Manager in the London Borough of Bromley, getting involved in the implementation of the Fixed Penalty Notice procedure in 2009 and the London Permit Scheme 2010, as well as redesigning business processes, achieving an award for Service Improvement and Innovation in 2013.
Since joining TfL in 2014, it’s become an exciting time for our industries and my current role allows me to be at the heart of it. I believe that by working together, incorporating sustainable and innovative working practices, we can create a better environment and future for all.
