David Watts

David is a Senior ITS Engineer at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) with over 10 years’ experience in intelligent transport systems (ITS). He has delivered projects in smart junctions, multi-modal data collection, traffic management systems, and transport innovation, including fibre and cellular connectivity.

Supporting the Bee Network by implementing ITS measures to improve network efficiency, he has also experience in  developing business cases for ITS technologies, demonstrating their economic and operational benefits.

David has worked on European projects, bringing  international best practice and innovation to TfGM, using ITS to enhance connectivity, optimise traffic flow, and support sustainable economic and social mobility.
