Rhona Marsland
Rhona is the Principal Highways Engineer at the Office of Rail and Road. She is a Chartered Civil Engineer and UK Registered Ground Engineering with over 15 years’ experience in the transportation industry in the UK, Ireland and Canada. She currently leads the Engineering Team, providing critical insight into National Highways’ asset management performance – holding National Highways to account for its delivery, focusing on enhancements, renewals, maintenance performance.
Rhona has engineering management capability and experience in the design and asset management of rail systems, including electrification, civil engineering design and remediation. Previous roles include the East West Rail Phase 2, the CA$6.3 billion major public transit project - Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) in Canada. She is an Institution of Civil Engineers Reviewer, Chair of the ICE CPD Panel and a Non-Executive Director at Sustrans.
