Sukhmanpreet Kaur

I am a Year 12 student currently studying Physics, Maths, and History. My academic interests span both STEM and the humanities, as I’m fascinated by the relationship between logic and creativity. Physics inspires me deeply - it offers a framework to explore the universe and, in doing so, better understand myself. I plan to pursue astrophysics at university, with interests in science communication, research, and data-driven fields like transport.

Recently, I participated in a National Highways virtual experience, where I gained practical skills in Excel and data analysis while exploring how infrastructure and technology intersect. This experience deepened my appreciation for how technical knowledge translates into real-world impact. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading both scientific and philosophical works, from Stephen Hawking to Dostoevsky, as well as creative pursuits like drawing, crochet, and anime. I am especially passionate about the interplay between science and philosophy, and how both shape our understanding of the world.
