Rachel Marland-Adams
Rachel Adams is heading Vaisala Xweather's winter maintenance product development. Rachel is an Environmental Science and Geography honours graduate, with a post-graduate diploma in Marketing.
Rachel started her career collecting and analysing thermal data on road networks in multiple countries. Through this experience, she quickly understood the impact of weather on daily life and has continued to learn from road maintenance professionals around the world. During her career, Rachel has undertaken various commercial, marketing and product-related roles, with the primary focus on engaging decision-makers with products and services to manage adverse weather in transportation.
Rachel has 30 years of experience in transportation weather and has a passion for delivering products that empower road maintenance professionals to take sustainable action to minimise the impact of weather on mobility and safety. She has been an active member of the NWSRG Technical Advisory Group for over 10 years, working with like-minded colleagues to support practitioners to continually evolve best practices in the UK.
